Vagelis Antoniadis is a co-founder of Cytech Ltd and is responsible for driving company's sales and building strategic business relationships worldwide. He holds a Bachelor degree from Department of Computer Science, University of Crete and a MSc in networks and telecommunications from the same institute. During the last years he has worked for the companies Sigma Securities S.A., and Com-ToNet S.A. as project manager and software engineer. He has also taken part in research projects in cooperation with Intracom S.A. and the University of Crete, concerning network security, secure protocols and smartcards. The main areas of interest are system security, active and passive attacks in secure systems, technology and applications of smartcards.
Stelios Mavromichalis is a founder member of Cytech Ltd. He has completed his studies at the Department of Computer Science, University of Crete. During the last three years, he has worked for Sigma Securities S.A., Com-ToNet S.A. and University of Crete as a project manager, software engineer and system and network administrator. His main areas of interest are information systems, programming languages, operating systems, software design and development, parallel and distributed systems and computer networks.
George Saslis received his MEng degree in Computing from Imperial College London in June 2004. During the following year and a half he worked as a funded PhD student in the Computing Department of Lancaster University, but was eventually won over by the business sector, and left academia for a position as Software Engineer in Cytech Ltd, in Heraklion, Crete. His main fields of interest cover Human-Computer Interaction, Usability of standalone and Web-based applications, and real life Ubiquitous Computing solutions with a focus on Software Architecture, through Agile Development techniques. He believes that: "Mobile, our most personal device, is the most exciting medium to be working on today - and the convergence point of all services, who will soon be mobile". He blogs passionately about mobile marketing since 2008, having founded his own blog Mobile-Marketing-Blog.net, which highlights the most important news from the mobile marketing world.
Maria Katriadaki holds a degree from the Department of Management and Economics, Technological Educational Institute of Crete. She has worked in the accounting department of Peza Union and Kappa Foods S.A., in the sales department of Vergakis S.A. and Virtual Trade – Virtual Studio. Today she is working for Cytech Ltd. as a administrative personnel.
Themistoklis Dakanalis holds a Bachelor degree from Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, Technical University of Crete and MSc in Information Systems and E-commerce Technologies from Department of Computer Science, University of Crete. During the last five years, he has worked as a software engineer for the Laboratory of Distributed Multimedia Information Systems and Applications (TUC/MUSIC), the Atlantis Group and the Cytech Ltd. His areas of interest include the analysis, the design and the implementation of Business Intelligence Systems (BI) and Service Oriended Architectures (SOA) using Business Process Management methods (BPM).
Ioannis Sermetziadis holds a bachelor degree from the department of Management Science and Technology, Athens University of Economics and Business, where he received the basics from the computer science field and was introduced to Open Source. Since then he participated in the design and implementation of various networking and interactive applications at academic as well as professional level. He received his postgraduate diploma in Computer Science from the University of Edinburgh, specialized in parallel systems and databases. His main areas of interest are programming languages, operating systems, distributed systems and mobile technology.
George Peponakis received his Bachelor Degree from the department of Applied Informatics and Multimedia, of the Technological Institute of Crete. During his studies, he participated in the PASIPHAE research laboratory, and undertook a number of external software development projects. He is passionate about new technologies and a fan of Open Source Software. He is mainly interested in programming languages and technologies around mobile phones.
